Hotel La Foret de Maronne is a nice and cosy family hotel in La Garde en Oisans, spread at 1450 metres altitude in the direct vicinity of Alpe d'Huez (Isère) and is managed by a Dutch couple. The ski area La Grande Rousses, with its centre Alpe d'Huez, with its maximum altitude of 3300 metres and has a total length well over 220 km. De area is scattered with excellent nursery slopes, good red runs, long black trails and extremely serious off-piste opportunities The black trail Sarenne, with its total length of 16 km (2230 downfalll), is even one of the longest in Europe.
